Chris McKay appointed as a Director in our Restructuring Advisory team
We have welcomed Chris McKay as an appointment-taking Restructuring Advisory Director in Cambridge, strengthening our presence in East Anglia.
A licensed insolvency practitioner, chartered accountant, and mediator, accredited by the UK’s Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR), Chris has more than 30 years’ experience helping businesses and stakeholders to protect value in the face of insolvency and financial distress.
Chris will work closely with Partner Richard Bloomfield to expand our restructuring presence in East Anglia, particularly giving a stronger foothold in Cambridge, and surrounding areas.
Chris is one of East Anglia’s most respected insolvency practitioners and brings vast experience to the team.
His appointment comes as we also welcome Ryan White as an Administrator. Chris and Ryan’s arrival continues the rapid growth of the East Anglia restructuring team and takes the team to six. They join more than 800 colleagues across more than 30 offices in our national network.
Chris McKay, Restructuring Advisory Director at FRP, said:“FRP has a fantastic reputation locally, and nationally, for not just the outcomes it achieves but the quality of its service. It’s exciting to be joining the team at a period of both regional and national growth for the business, and I’m looking forward to being able to draw on the full breadth of capabilities it has across its service lines and office network to deliver great outcomes for those we support.”
Richard Bloomfield, Restructuring Advisory Partner at FRP, added:“Chris is one of East Anglia’s most respected insolvency practitioners and brings vast experience to the team. This, coupled with his pragmatic and empathetic approach, will make him a central part of the team as we further expand our footprint in the region. He brings with him an existing referral base, built over 30 years, that we look forward to supporting and growing as part of FRP.”
Chris and Ryan’s appointments come following a year of continued expansion for FRP, which has seen us acquire five specialist firms, including specialist restructuring practice GWC on the Isle of Man. We also expanded our footprint into Wales and Northern Ireland, reinforcing our position as a leading national business advisory firm, and in early 2025 opened a new office in Bournemouth.
